Data Protection

With the implementation of the new General Data Protection Regulations in May 2018, it is now necessary to outline what personal data MassageHealth holds on each of its clients and how that data is used. This is described in the Data Policy shown below.

In this Data Policy, the term ‘MassageHealth’ shall be used as shorthand for ‘Phil Nuttridge trading as MassageHealth’ specifically referring to Phil Nuttridge providing Pilates classes, Manual Therapy Treatments and Therapy Training Courses. Occasionally it may be necessary for other individuals or third party organisations to perform some of the duties required in providing those listed activities for MassageHealth. In all such cases, those individuals and third party organisations will be required to comply with this Data Policy and will not be permitted to use your personal data in any way not described in this Data Policy.

For those who attend any of the Pilates sessions run by MassageHealth,  MassageHealth will only collect name and contact information sufficient for you to be contacted to notify you of any changes to the class timetable or payment schedules.  For example, if a class you regularly attend is cancelled, MassageHealth may use the contact information collected from you to notify you of that cancellation.  Such contact information may be in the form of telephone numbers and email addresses.  This information will never be used by MassageHealth or passed to any other organisation for marketing purposes.

For those who come to MassageHealth for Therapy Treatments, on the initial consultation MassageHealth will collect full name, address and other relevant contact details.  These contact details will only ever be used to contact you should MassageHealth need to change an appointment you have scheduled or in response to a request from you to make, confirm, discuss, cancel or amend an appointment.  MassageHealth will also record your Medical and Treatment Information which includes details of any medical conditions, medications you are taking and also a record of any medical history relevant to treatment.  This Medical and Treatment Information is used solely to provide a better treatment and will never be used for marketing purposes or passed to anyone else for marketing purposes.

The Medical and Treatment Information collected during therapy treatments will never be passed to any other party unless you explicitly request such action.  Circumstances where this may occur include, but will not be limited to,  where there is an insurance claim or Court proceedings relevant to the reason for your treatment.  In all cases MassageHealth would need written consent from you to forward those Medical and Treatment Information or a Court instruction to do so.

For those who attend a Therapy Training Course provided by MassageHealth, MassageHealth will collect name and contact information (including phone numbers, email addresses and postal addresses) of the attendees.  This information will by used by MassageHealth to contact the attendees prior to the course to provide joining instructions and arrange course payment.  The contact information may also be used after the course to seek feedback on the attendees’ experience of the course and also to provide any certificates or materials as appropriate.  The same information may also be used to inform the attendees of other follow-on training courses that may become available.

If you wish to amend any of the contact information MassageHealth hold for you click here to tell us of the changes you would like.
