Kinesio-taping

Kinesio-taping

The Kinesiology taping is a rehabilitative technique whereby elastic adhesive strips of tape are attached to the skin to facilitate the body’s own healing processes while providing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion.  It is often applied at the end of a manual therapy session to prolong the benefits of the therapeutic intervention.

Kineio-taping:

  • Reduces muscle fatigue and promotes blood flow for faster recovery
  • Aids in injury treatment
  • Provides reassuring but gently support for injured areas

Once applied, the tape is waterproof and can remain on the target area for up to seven days.
